BIOGRAPHY

Justin J. Pequeño (Tejano/Latinx) is an educator and civic entrepreneur whose career has focused on collective impact, community empowerment, and leadership development. Most recently, Justin was a Strategy Consultant for the Kamehameha Schools in Hilo, Hawaiʻi where he directly managed their community grants portfolio and the recalibration of outcomes and measures to contribute to the achievement of organizational goals. He has served on various boards and commissions relating to environmental management, poverty reduction, education, and community vibrancy.

He received his Bachelor of Science in Psychology and American Studies from Tufts University and a Master of Arts in Politics and Education from Columbia University’s Teachers College. He and his family reside in their ancestral homeland of south Texas.
